Nominator's project description

Professor Mulvey is an international leading chemist in the area of inorganic main group chemistry, who made a decisive breakthrough in the field of synergistic bimetallic chemistry, using cooperative effects between two distinct metals to engender advanced reactivities and selectivities. His discoveries changed our fundamental understanding of reaction principles in general and open a novel chapter for synthetic organic and organometallic chemistry. In Germany he will continue his research on the importance of “trans-metal-trapping”.
